  1. Damn I've always played RN in previous NavyField's, maybe I should have kept with that instead of IJN :-) But thanks for the tips, I appreciate it. I do feel I can progress with my kitakami, but I thought I would be able to progress with my CA Mogami. Apparently it's not really the case and the goal is more to get to ~50 asap, no matter the ship.
  2. Thank you for your feedback, and thank you for considering mine. Of course I am not expecting to complete the game in 1 or 2 months :-) However, a game should be fun even to newcomers, and even spending a short amount of time in the game should feel rewarding. Right now it feels to me like new ships are utterly useless unless you spend a lot of time getting carried in PvP. I understand the need to level up the crew but the only way to realistically do it for a player of my level and average skill is to get on a PvP battle where I have close to 0 influence on the outcome because I am matched with people of a much higher level. This is just not fun. My 2 cents, take it as you wish :-) I'll definitely continue playing, and try my best on the PvE missions to get to ~50, as suggested by Lion II, but I feel it's going to be a battle uphill. (And congrats on finishing most survival missions on your lvl8 Emerald! Maybe I am bad, because there is no way I would manage to do that!)
  3. Hello, First let me say I do enjoy the game, and I have enjoyed NF1 and NF2 (actually just reinstalled the latter, the former being a hassle to run). I was very pleasantly surprised to stumble upon NF mobile last week, and enjoyed the mix of PvE missions, PvP, HA, etc ... The progression was smooth for the first few levels, and I made it to the CA Mogami, but I'm starting to get frustrated for the following reasons: - Training a CA crew requires absurd amount of XP imho. At 600xp to get one star on the gunners, I have to do on average 40 online games. That's a lot for a level 30 ship! I can't imagine the grind for BBs etc ... Until I manage to do that, my ship sprays like a firehose. - PvP games are frustrating because I struggle to get in range to kill anything, and if I do I'm getting one-shot by players of much higher level. I do get the occasional good game with a couple of kills but overall, I get either carried or just deleted. It is frustrating to have so little control in the outcome of a game, mostly because of no MM. - I hit a roadblock with PvE because most missions now have a high level BB for me to kill, which is just impossible with that ship (if I do get lucky then 6 CAs are now close enough to erase me). If I ignore the BB, it deletes me. Sure I could spam repairs / smokes, but that costs $$$. - I do pretty good in HA, but that does not earn any XP. - Repair costs and upgrades are starting to dry me out of steel and PvE missions are not a source of steel anymore because I can't complete them with my lvl 30 ship. Also: - I bought a starter pack, so I'm supposed to get quicker progress - I bought with that gold a kitakami, which is good in PvE but fairly useless in PvP, I feel, and I do want to earn XP for my CA - I use manual aiming and I think I'm ok at it; it's just that I spray around the enemy ship at longer ranges. Basically I am left with farming HA (not fascinating), get carried / destroyed in PvP, and occasionally attempt a PvE mission with a very low success rate. I know it's a Korean grinder, but still I did not expect to feel the grind so hard after less than a week of playing! Maybe the answer is just "git gud" but I feel a lot of other people are going to feel the same when they try the game. Maybe CAs are just crap and I should just farm to lvl 50+ in the kitakami or something with low repair cost. Any tip, feedback? Ptah
