Thank you for this info. I'm not sure how long it would have taken me to figure out own my own,

I'm still having a problem though. Most of the time, my aircraft don't actually attack. They fly about 2/3 the way to the target circle for a while then come back to my ship. What am I doing wrong?

Also, I have the 3 aircraft improvements and 2 on the flight deck to actually have aircraft to attack with. What do you recommend for the other 3 slots? I was thinking engines to try and keep away from everything else while my aircraft pummel.

Hi there, which aircraft do not attack? If you mean Fighters, when they come across enemy fighters they start a dogfight, turning trying to shoot down the enemy fighters. Dive Bombers and Torpedo Bombers do not attack automatically like fighters, you have to select your Dive/Torpedo bombers squadron and target the enemy ship.

Take in mind Dive Bombers must fly above the target and then dive to throw the bombs, Torpedo Bombers in the other hand lower their altitute to be able to shoot their torpedos, if the Torpedo Bombers are too close to the enemy ship they won't throw torpedos, so watch the distance! One of the most used tactics against attack planes it's spent a Smoke Screen, the planes will lose the target and will fly back to your ship.

About the ship upgrades, think very well how do you want to use your ship, if you want to use it as an Auxiliary CV I would upgrade: 3 Flightdeck ( You need all the planes and squads possible ) 3 Planes Upgrades ( It improve your planes performance a lot ) and 2 Engine ( Speed to avoid enemy SS and shots )

You can upgrade too: 3 Flightdeck, 2 planes upgrades, 3 engines. That would make you pretty fast but would lose your Dive Bombers upgrade, making them very weak and depending on Fighters and Torpedo Bombers..

I hope it helped you.

Figured out some of it. On the small phone screen, I was mixing up the fighters and dive bombers. And you were right, I think I was getting the torpedo planes too close before I gave them the ship to attack. I was trying to maneuver them for a perfect angle shot. I also thought you could have the fighters strafe targets. Apparently not.

For upgrades, I already have all 3 plane and 2 of the flight deck upgrades. I will get 2 of the engine upgrades, then I will have to decide where to put the last one. Probably the flight deck. I do seem to lose a light of bombers in the first attacks when there are lots of planes to shoot at them.

I've noticed that even if all the torps seem to hit, usually won't sink a BB. That is annoying. Don't know if crew expertise will make a difference on that.

Now I am trying to concentrate on taking out the CA's and then damaging the BB's after that if I'm still alive.

I recommend to play in Tablet, I must say the experience it's much better ^_^. With the time you will master the Torpedo Planes, as tips:

1.- Watch out the distance always or they won't shot, plus the closer they are to the target, the easier they can be shoot down as they fly low.

2.- Try to send at least 2 squads and throw torpedos from different directions, that will make them very hard to avoid.

3.- If the enemy launch a Smoke Screen your planes will fly back to your ship, but take in mind, if your planes did not shoot their torpedos/bombs they still have them loaded, reposition them for a new pass.

4.- The torpedo planes need to have visualization of the enemy ship, try to have an scout plane with them, as they lower altitude to throw torpedos they will lose range of view.

That depend on a lot of factors: Torpedo planes upgraded dealt more damage, the BB can be high level so higher Hull, if the BB have veteran crew the damage received is lowered a lot, the 3rd armor upgrade add torpedo protection so the damage is lowered even more..

BB's are very tough, but not impossible to sink :) the Mogami 1944 can only hold 2 squads of planes, CV's hold between 3 and 4 squads so that will make the task easier.

Mogami 1944 is good in great battle for field management. I always start with sending a squadron of fighters in the middle of the field to escort the way of my torpedo planes, also it can kill opponents’ scouts.
