  1. I've written a beginners guide, it contains almost everything that you need to know: https://www.navyfieldmobile.com/index.php?/topic/4314-navy-field-mobile-101-a-beginners-guide-to-the-ins-and-outs-of-nfm/
  2. Hello Mussashi, You have lost your captain? I could perhaps help you with that... What is the exact name of the lost captain and of your new profile? Your old captain can be restored to your new profile. I hope I have understood your problem correctly, I don't speak Spanish...
  3. To my knowledge, if you have your profile stored to Google, if you sign in on a new device it should load your profile to that device. That said, you should sign in before playing on your new device, I think.
  4. Hola! Cual es el problema? Puedo intentar ayudarte, pero no hablo espanol (uso google translate para responderte...)
  5. Another excellent post, well done! Did you mention the importance of shooting down enemy scouts? ;p (but really, it turns a game!) There's another benefit to shooting the planes: usually a support ship (aaw + asw + repair = ultimate support ship) isn't that good as an offensive ship, so it can be tricky to score any damage - and no damage is no rewards! But shooting down planes counts as damage done as well. I vetted the best part of the Jules Verne this way. Basically, shoot the planes!
  6. DD and CL can see mines, and in theory hedgehogs can destroy mines (although they're really ineffective). You know what would be great? Having all the bloody minefields in raids visible or at least marked...
  7. Hello new captain, welcome aboard! On behalf of the Navy Field team I am happy to have you with us and I hope you will enjoy the game. To make things a bit easier, I have compiled some of my own experience and the answers to many, many questions I've been asked into one lenghty post covering the basics of what you need to know. If this post/thread still leaves questions unanswered, you can always ask other players. I hope to have covered most of the basics, for other veterans: please share your own tips and experiences below (and let me know if I've missed something). Tip: follow this post, so that you're alerted when I update it! Disclaimer: I write this guide as an experienced player, not as a NFM official... nothing can be held against me... you know the drill Also please note that this guide is written with shipyard ships in mind - there's a special section for research and its ships. So, first things first: you've just started playing, chosen a nation to your liking and completed the tutorial. And then... 1) Getting started: upgrading your harbour 2) Getting started: different resources 2a) Getting started: gold 3) Getting started: different ship classes, their roles and how to outfit them 4) Getting started: different ship stats and weapons 5) Getting started: battle modes 6) Getting started: using the global chat (west and east channel) 6b) Moderators 7) Getting started: fleets 8) Research and ship tiers 9) Special ships: repair ships and s tier skills 10) Harbour assault and skills 11) Battle tips 12. Support If you encounter problems, such as not being able to access your account, duplicate ships, missing resources, wanting to reset your account, needing a new chief for your fleet or other questions, you can email support ([email protected]) detailing your problem. They will do their best to help you out! Of course, as I said above (6b), the moderators are also happy to help you. 13. Elementary game rules and Terms of Service We at NavyField Mobile pride ourselves in having one of the finest and nicest communities in the online gaming world. To ensure that it stays that way, there are a few rules that you will need to observe. First, there's some rules on naming your captain and ships. We (moderators) do check actively for offenses, but if you encounter offensive names - please report them. Secondly - play nice. Game antics are not something that we moderators usually interfere with, but just be nice to each other! Thirdly - internal fleet business is the responsibility of the chief and leaders, not of the moderators. A bit of social control works wonders. Finally, we understand that sometimes emotions can run high, but please don't shout at others too much to avoid escalating conflicts, with moderators having to step in and mute people. Of course you can express displeasure, but please do it politely! I strongly suggest you read the Terms of Service. There's some important stuff in there. For example: it is forbidden to have multiple accounts (multiple nations is, of course, encouraged), you need to be at least 13 years old to play this game, you may not buy or sell accounts, etc etc. If you let your kids play the game and someone shouts stuff at them that they shouldn't hear - of course we will take action as with any player, but the kids are your responsibility, moderators cannot accept any responsibility here. We ask for your understanding. The same goes for other people using your account - you are responsible for their actions. That does it for now, good luck and have fun!
  8. I've passed this thread on to the game staff.
  9. D tier is disabled now for full resources input, so the chances should have been shuffled a bit... but I don't know the exact current chances. Anyway, the most recommended recipe is 300K/30K/50G. Max 150g. Inputting more gold is no guarantee for nicer ships, etc etc. It takes time! I just got my first s tier, some people have 5, others have none yet.
  10. I've noticed a lot of spam threads, most of them originating from one profile. I have deleted the threads and suspended the profile. The spam messages contained a lot of links and clearly computer-generated text. My apologies for any inconveniences caused by the spam. If new spam appears, please let me or other moderators know by pm.
  11. I've sent this on to the game staff, the developers will look into it
  12. I have passed your post to the devs, Lion II will be buffed. Thanks! Edit: the buff will be an aaw increase.
  13. Dear Diddy, How often have I told you to watch your language. If you have any difficulties with actions from the staff, you can file a complaint with support or Vinnson. We do not tolerate such language as you used here, and certainly not against fellow moderators. This thread is hereby closed, and I will apply an official warning. Please try and be a bit more respectful. Thanks.
  14. Here's an example of the differences between tiers. The affected stats will vary between ships, and could be anything from upgraded sight range and UK grade armour capabilities to extra turrets, AAW, added flightdecks or added launchers. This means that a B grade Surcouf will have different upgrades from a B grade Type-XXI, but all B grade Surcoufs will be the same. Oh, and did you know that some ships can now get a (weak) sonar with 3rd FCS upgrade?
  15. Hello windeye, 1. Scrap cost is the same for every time you do research, namely 20. You can add steel, oil and gold to have a chance of researching higher grade ships. 2. The different tiers offer different increases in stats. I'll post a few pictures of a ship I have in three different tiers for context. 3. You can set an amount of resources that you want to spend on research (0-300k steel, 0-30k oil, 0-500 gold). The more resources you invest, the higher the chance of a higher tier ship being researched. Tiers B, A and S require an investment of gold. HOWEVER, the outcome of research is lottery-based, so spending more is not a guarantee of getting a certain tier ship. 4. You cannot exchange scrap for other resources. You can buy more scrap using gold. Alternatively, selling unwanted blueprints also returns an amount of scrap. Cheers!
  16. The patch will be released next wednesday (september 26th)
  17. Good question! All researchable ships will have lvl 1 requirement, but research will be available from lvl 25.
  18. Ships cannot be upgraded to different tiers. As far as the levels go, all researchable ships are lvl 1. So a Charlemagne is totally a lvl 1 ship If my assumptions are correct this research system will bring a lot of variety in ships to the game. Oh, and did I mention that some of the new ships are absolutely epic? Like, really epic? I really would like to be able to carry them over from the test server
  19. Thanks Ethor! I'll add a few pre-answered questions if I may: As you can see, the game mechanics will change quite a bit. I suggest you start hoarding your resources, because although the research can give you some absolutely epic ships, it can also be quite expensive. Also, just to be clear: the five existing nations will continue on existing. Research is limited by the nation the research is done in insofar as only the English can research the different grades of the Lion I. Lastly, special grades of steel ships still cost steel to build. Special versions of premium ships require gold to build. From what I've seen the prices are identical. So basically, the game will still be centered around the existing 5 nations, which allows players to have 5 different captains. The Italian and French ships are available to everyone, independent of nation, and they can be obtained by researching blueprints. I wish everyone a lot of fun with the new game (it's quite an overhaul really), I'm personally very stoked for the update!
  20. Good to hear! Enjoy your game, I'll close this thread now.
  21. We are currently awaiting the test version, but I have no ETA yet. The update will include new ships. Edit: release date is set for next Wednesday!
  22. This issue has been fixed, thread closed.
  23. I use 3 main gun, 3 planes and 2 flightdeck on my 1944, thus operating it as an auxilary cv with the firepower to fend off smaller ships. Works like a charm, but as said it's no match for an experienced cv. It should't be, either. Its role is different from a cv and different from a normal ca as well. There should be compromises, and I think the current 1944 is a great balance between ca and cv. For a quick comparison: if the 1944 should be able to beat both a normal ca41 and a cv at their own game, isn't that the same as saying the Kaiser needs 2500 damage and the Victoria needs 3000 range?
  24. As Baldrick stated, every ship has a distinct role in the game that should be observed. You shouldn't expect to beat a battleship in a CL (although it can be done, if you're lucky). Likewise, you shouldn't expect to beat a skilled dd player in a ss or even cv. As far as the QV is concerned, it's massively powerful and requires strong team work to take down, but so do all 100+ ships. If three big bb's gang up on my Vic there's a good chance that I'll be fishfood before I sink even one of them. The only downside to all this is that it needs every ship in a game to be piloted by a skilled captain. Bots are usually easily slaughtered, accounting for the many 8 vs 1 games. As far as the higher level cl's and ca's are concerned: I'd say they would be a good addition, but they should not make the lower level battleships obsolete. A poor lvl 50/60 player has enough of a challenge fending off the regular 41's. Here were some thoughts, enjoy
  25. Are you certain that you run the latest version of the app? This bug has been fixed some time ago. I checked on my account and the tab works just fine.
